How Coolstuff increased its turnover of active members by 25% in 6 months
The e-commerce company Coolstuff started its journey 20 years ago, more precisely in 2004, and is today one of the Nordic region’s largest e-commerce for personalized gifts. They strive to be the obvious destination for gifts and therefore offer a huge variety of personalized gifts. In a world where customer behavior is changing rapidly, it is important to adapt just as fast and Coolstuff felt limited in being able to personalize granularly in their previously too large and complex system. They began searching for a new solution that better suited their needs and that’s when they came into contact with Rule.

Challenge:
Previously, Coolstuff was stuck in a large and costly system with features they didn’t use as a 100% online business. They wanted to be able to be much more personalized in their communication with customers, but felt limited in the system they were previously in. They also wanted to be able to act faster, so they started looking for other solutions that offered a similar, but less complex solution, where they could do the same things but more personalized and at a better price. Then they found Rule.
Solution
With Rule, Coolstuff got a tool where they could do the same things – and more. They can now easily and smoothly segment down to the individual level and include an extreme amount of personalization in their emails, thanks to Coolstuff’s favorite feature in Rule, Journey Builder. They started using Rule for all their digital communications – from automations and transactional emails, to promotions and loyalty programs. It solved their challenge that they can now be extremely personalized in all their digital communications along every step of the customer journey.

Results
Today, Coolstuff can work in an intuitive system where they can easily manage multiple markets and personalize their digital communication down to the detail level. By using Rule, they have already seen a 25% increase in active member turnover and a 20% YOY increase in their general newsletter turnover. So they are already seeing incredible results after just under six months with Rule.
